FILTER ELEMENTS FOR HYDRAULIC FILTERS

Category:

1. FEATURES Filter elements are designed to clean fluids in hydraulic systems of machining equipment, agricultural vehicles, road and construction vehicles, as well as in hydraulic systems of process equipment, mobile and stationary installations. They are intended for the use in areas where effective filtering is required to increase system resources, reduce downtime, and improve performance. Different options for Ventum Filter elements in terms of filtration fineness, filter material and design (with or without built-in bypass valve, to be used under high or low destructive pressure) allow choosing the optimal solution for protection of a wide variety of systems. The filters are produced on modern equipment using high-tech filter materials. Filtering materials used in VentumFilters are as follows: • glassfiber • polypropylene • filter paper • metal mesh. Filtration coefficient β(x)c ≥200 was determined by the results of multi-pass test acc. to ISO 16889. High and stable filtration at a pressure difference of up to 210 bar.

2. FILTER ELEMENTS. Filter elements are an integral part of the filter housing where the filtration process takes place. Various filter materials have been developed to filter various liquids. There is a wide range of filtering elements thatfit into the same filter housing, but are designed for different operating conditions and fluid types.

3. FILTER MATERIAL MADE OF GLASS FIBER. Glass fiber filter elements combine fast fluid flow rate of with high contaminant capacity. They are biologically inert, non-hygroscopic, chemically resistant to most hydraulic fluids and have a much longer service life than cellulose filters.

3.1 FILTER MATERIAL MADE OF POLYPROPYLENE Polypropylene filter elements have a wide range of chemical resistance. They are inexpensive in terms of production and have effective filtering properties.

3.2 FILTER MATERIAL MADE OF PAPERThe filter element consists of organic fibers arranged in random layers and bonded with a binding agent. Paper filter elements are used when filtration requirements are low.

3.3 FILTER MATERIAL MADE OF METAL MESH. Metal mesh filter elements with low hydrodynamic resistance. Metal mesh filter elements are used for filtration of hydraulic and lubricating oils as suction filters or preliminary filters, in high-viscosity media, and as barrier filters.
In a hydraulic or lubrication system, filters are aimed at cleaning the fluid to the required level and maintaining this level during operation for a long period of time. Industrial hydraulics uses ISO 4406 particle quantity coding to determinethe degree of fluid contamination with solid particles. The following are fluid purity grades achieved with Ventum Filter elements. These values are shown as approximate reference points only

4. QUALITY ASSURANCE Ventum filters and filter elements are fabricated and tested in accordance with the following international standards:
